Description
YOU WILL LEARN:
- how to sew a cushion cover with a zipped closure. We will be making a centred zip closure. This method works perfectly for cushion covers as well as in dressmaking – so once you know the technique it can be transferred to many other projects
- The cushion cover will be a for a 45cm cushion insert – but details will be given to adapt this to any size of cushion.
- how to use a regular zip presser foot
SKILL LEVEL:
Level 2
You should be confident in using a sewing machine, and have sewn a few basic projects. This masterclass works perfectly as a follow-on after the Beginners Sewing Course
WHAT’S INCLUDED:
- A selection of fabrics to make your cushion cover (or you can bring your own, see below)
- A zip
- Use of the class sewing machine (or bring your own, see below) including zip foot.
- Instruction sheet so you can recreate the project at home

- Tea, Coffee and other refreshments, plus lots of biscuits to keep you going
YOU WILL NEED TO BRING:
Potentially nothing, but you may like to bring:
- Fabric for your cushion cover – so that it matches your home decor! Details of suitable fabric and amount needed will be emailed to you after booking.
- Sewing machine: It would be beneficial, but not required, for you to bring your own sewing machine to learn on as your machine may have slightly different settings to the studio machines. If you do bring your machine please remember to bring your regular zip foot. Please let me know if you will be bringing your own machine

Held in the lovely, bright and spacious Threadquarters studio! 49 Main Street, Bangor, NI. Located on the first floor.

PLEASE NOTE: The class requires a minimum of two people to go ahead.
Our Cancellation Policy: Unfortunately our classes are non refundable. Due to our small class sizes it is also very difficult to transfer your booking to a different date. If you cannot attend a class and are able to notify us at least two weeks before the class starts, it may be possible to fit you in on another date but this is not guaranteed so please give us as much notice as possible to increase your chances.
In the event that we are forced to cancel a class, we will endeavour to give you as much notice as possible and offer either a full refund or swap your booking to another suitable date.
