You Will Learn:
- how to sew a buttonhole – either 1-step or 4-step, depending on your machine
- how to sew a perfect lapped zip, a common zip insertion for skirts, trousers and dresses
- how to sew a centred zip – again a classic zip for dresses
- how to sew an invisible zip…and ensure it actually IS invisible!
Although this class is tailored to dressmaking, all of these skills can be used in home decor such as cushion covers!

Sewing Machine:
– Sewing machines are available for all to use however if you would prefer to bring your own machine please contact me with the make and model of your machine and I will let you know if it would be suitable to bring to class.
SKILL LEVEL:
Suitable for Level 1 or ideally Level 2
You must know how to use a sewing machine confidently but no prior experience of dressmaking is required (although recommended).
